Newcastle rockers The Owls have returned with a killer new single ‘Better Off Deaf’, the first single from EP number two ‘Swamp Love’.

The track features the crunching guitars The Owls are known for, coupled with singer Josh Bailey’s signature drawl, it is fast becoming a fan favourite. The EP showcases their wide variety of influences; title track ’Swamp Love’ is a slightly reserved stoned rocker, the band locking together into an unwavering groove, that doesn’t slip. EP closer ‘Comprende’ is a country-tinged acoustic number, featuring a southern-styled percussive background and airy three-part harmonies.

In the past The Owls have shared stages with some of Australia’s biggest bands including The Living End, Gyroscope, The Jezabels, Ball Park Music and Cloud Control, now adding to that list, they won the local band competition and hit the stage at Fat As Butter Festival as well as sharing stages with British India and Hunting Grounds earlier this year.
