Believe it or not, stage diving is something of a contentious issue in the music world. Some are of the opinion that you shouldn’t do it under any circumstances, some think that if the band and venue are cool with it then all good, and others sit on the fence.

We reckon if the band is cool with it, the venue’s alright with it, and you do your best not to hurt anyone, stage diving can be a memorable rite of passage for music lovers. However, there’s right and wrong ways to go about pulling off a stage dive.

One unfortunate punter who recently attended a performance by Aussie punk rock legends The Hard Ons at Frankie’s Pizza in Sydney showed everybody how to do it the wrong way. “So this dumbass actually destroyed our stage cam with his ill-guided stage diving attempts. At least we still caught the rear perspective to share,” wrote Frankie’s on YouTube.

As you can see below, the gentleman thought his fellow punters would have his back (literally) and ended up learning a very harsh lesson. While we don’t condone revealing in other people’s misfortune, you kind of brought it on yourself there, mate.
