It’s a classic line-up of Aussie garage punk this Friday May 7th as Tone Deaf presents the legendary X in their farewell show at Ding Dong Lounge as they prepare, after more than 30 years, to head out on their first US tour. And who better to support them than one of Australia’s hottest bands, the UV Race, fresh off sold out shows with Eddy Current Suppression Ring.

More than thirty years after X started out, and with members such as the late Ian Rilen and producer Lobby Loyde passing through the ranks, X have released some of the most influential albums in Australia, namely X – Aspirations and At Home With You. One of the last surviving links between the golden late 70s/early 80s period of Australian punk and new wave, Steve Lucas has remained a constant in the group, with this tour finding him joined on bass by Kim Volkman and the legendary Bill Walsh on drums!

UV Race sold out their album launch at Ding Dong last year and they sold out their last Tone Deaf gig so you know the drill – get down early for drink specials and stay late for DJs pumping out rock and punk classics all night long.

Joined on stage by The Kicks & Outlawed DJ’s Spinning the best, Alt, Rock, Indie Tunes Around town, it also happens to be the Julian Casablancas show after party  – Tone Deaf and Ding Ding have it all! Get your tickets HERE
