Wollongong’s Yours & Owls Festival is mere weeks away, and with the days quickly diminishing before the two-day festival kicks off, fans are getting pretty excited. However, one month out from the festival, organisers have had to announce a couple of last-minute changes to the lineup.

Yours & Owls festival is set to take place in Wollongong’s Stuart Park on the weekend of September 30th and October 1st, and features a pretty intimidating lineup to say the least. Sadly though, organisers have announced that Melbourne’s Gold Class will no longer be performing at the festival, due to some international scheduling conflicts.

However, the good news that comes out of this, is that US rockers Wavves have volunteered to step up and take their place. No strangers to our shores, Wavves are already set to be in the country at the end of September thanks to an absolutely massive national tour with Dune Rats, Hockey Dad, and WAAX. The group are set to make an appearance at the festival between stops at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, and Sydney’s Big Top.

This lineup reshuffle also extends to Yours & Owls Festival’s under-18s edition of the festival, with SAFIA no longer able to play drug and alcohol free event. Don’t stress if you’re over 18 though, they’re still able to head along to the main festival. But taking their place will be Australia’s current hip-hop legend Allday, who’ll be pulling double duty and performing at both versions of the festival.

The under-18s side of the festival is also expanding further with the addition of Black Summer, and Tyne-James Organ. You might remember Black Summer from back when he was Unearthed by triple j in 2015 at the tender age of 11. Likewise, if you’ve hit up any shows by The Beautiful Girls, Lewis Watson, or Little Sea in recent times, there’s a fair chance you might have seen Tyne-James Organ bring his brilliant live show to you. Either way, the under-18s are in with a pretty good lineup, we have to admit.

Check out Wavves’ ‘Million Enemies’ below, as you start to get excited for Yours & Owls Festival, which kicks off at the end of next month.
